Now it begins...

So you may have heard on the Internet that we are expecting a boy this summer. We are super excited and at the same time super terrified. My biggest fear: dropping the baby. I am petrified this will happen. (Don't tell Betsy) I'm not sure what Betsy's biggest fear is but when she is stressed she likes to shop. She must have been stressed lately because these things arrived in the mail today. Now she brings home baby stuff instead of shoes. I guess its better because it's cheaper.

Item #1: Guitar onesie.
Item #2: The flannel button up. I am so excited about this one. I am sure they have an adult version so we can be twins.
Item #3: The sweater vest. A classic piece.
Item #4: The poncho. I guess this is for when we go hit up that drum circle 420 sesh or something?

In any event, Betsy can't wait for the baby to come out so she can dress him! Here she is practicing on her belly.
It has begun. Please Internet don't encourage her.

Thanks ladies! In my defense, those 4 items are THE ONLY baby related items I've purchased thus far. And they were all from the clearance section of Gap or Old Navy. And the poncho...how could I not buy that? I can totally picture Steve at Humboldt State, circa 1996, in one of those. And probably Birkenstock's too.

Now it begins . . . and it is oh, so much fun! Boys are wonderful! You will find their clothing sections are much, much smaller versus the girls. The Children's Place is my fav for Tayge!

trust me, it's way better that you're having a boy vs. girl. my problem is that when i thrift or deal shop, sometimes i get girl stuff too, because i'm bound to have a girl sometime too, right?

ps i learned gap is better for shorter fat babies, and old navy for longer leaner babies. ro is def. old navy, and he grows out of his gap stuff in length before he ever fills out the width. just fyi.

Don't diss on Jen's Birkenstocks...

I don't think you bought those. I think you shrunk some of steve's clothes in the washing machine and are calling them baby clothes.

What about long fat babies?

Doesn't the baby store have a big and tall section?

Steve, how about Crocs and chacos? Birkenstocks were so 10 years ago in the bio world.

boys are fun to dress up - much cuter clothes these days! I have 10 drawer full and my hubby thinks I am crazy! btw - it will change your life forever... seriously, whenever guest come over, they always either sit on something the squeaks, or step on something that plays some music, etc.... can't avoid it baby fever!
