Liz & Jeremy gave us some cool Nike running socks that they get for free for being real serious runners. Steve and I have dubbed them our "fast socks." Also, Steve has them on the wrong feet (notice the giant "L" on his right foot). In Steve's defense, we've never owned socks that were made for a particular foot so this is all new to us. We'll get the hang of it.

My sister Suzy likes commercials with animals in them.
Hey Floozy! We've seen this twice now in the movie theater here in SF and both times we laugh hysterically. Not because we think it's the funniest commercial ever but because we know you would. Love you!

our new route
There is nothing that Betsy and I love to do early Saturday morning more than walking up hills. We used to go up to Coit tower at our old place and Saturday we decided to forge a new route.
Betsy wasn't that excited about walking...
Especially when I pointed out that we were going to climb the tallest hill in our neighborhood. The dreaded Turtle Hill via the 15th street steps. I almost lost Betsy and had to bribe her with scones at Arizmendi's afterwords.
Near our friends the McMillan's apartment, lie the 15th Avenue steps. These steps are a butt burner for sure.
I cramped up about halfway up and had to pull over to stretch.
On the other hand, Betsy had no trouble and beat me up to the top. Good work!
After the stairs you continue to climb to the top. I love this neighborhood and there are many beautiful houses on our route. Near the top of the summit is another flight of stairs. The crux of the walk.
The view from turtle hill is pretty amazing. You can see downtown and all of western San Francisco.
I took a photo of where we started from. The street to the left of the center of the photograph is 15th, the street we walked up. Also the Golden Gate Bridge is visible as well.
We also had to capture our sweaty selves on the top of the hill. Not our best looks. I think I need some makeup to cut back on my glow!
Tons of great views.
I love this photo.
Afterwords, we descended into the inner sunset for some hard earned breakfast. I love our new route and neighborhood.

Hey Jen! It's our new dining room table per your request!
Here's our new little dining nook in our new place. It's just off in the corner of our living room but it works really well and has a cute window right next to it that you can't see in this picture.
We got the table and chairs from CB2.

The new phone
Yes it's true. Betsy traded in her old phone for a new iPhone. Here is a photo of her old junky phone which was state of the art a few years ago. I used to be jealous.
Her phone is ghetto because Betsy dropped it and the back doesn't stay on. Also no touch screen and no music capability. Lame.
Yesterday I jumped on the train and met Betsy at her work. Since we're now a family we're signing up for a family plan! I had to be there since I'm the head of the family. Here is Betsy looking excited and a bit confused at all the new technology she will soon have in her purse.
After a few short minutes Betsy had her phone. Yeah apps!
We jumped back on the train to go home but jumped off in Cole Valley to eat at Burger Meister. There is nothing better than pairing new technology with ground beef and cheese! However, I was very frustrated that Betsy didn't break out her phone and play with it. She wanted to wait till she was home.
I guess she wanted clean grease-free hands! I don't know how she could wait. We did get home and play around with her new phone and I gave her a quick lesson. I am sure she is going to love it! Go Betsy!

Girl...you'll be a woman soon.
Tonight is finally my night. After months of ridicule in the form of Steve tapping on the screen of my Blackberry Pearl saying "what's wrong w/your touch screen?! it's broken!" It's my turn to purchase one of these!
I did a totally non-Betsy kind of thing and actually waited for my TMobile 2 year contract to end so I didn't have to pay an early cancellation fee. Go me!

A night off.
Every spare minute we've had these past few weeks has been devoted to some stage of the moving process.
Packing/donating/selling/cleaning/moving/unpacking...and on and on. Last night was the perfect break in the form of a fancy dinner out and a broadway musical!
Maybe you remember Steve bought us tickets to Wicked for Valentine's Day!
I'd seen it once years ago when it debuted here in SF before it shoved off for it's life on Broadway. Our seats were amazing and I enjoyed it so much more than the first time. It was so fun and Steve loved it too! (insert fancy euro accent) My husband loves the theater!
Before the show we ate dinner at Conduit over in the Mission. Very cool. Very good food.

New apartment
Last weekend we moved to our new apartment in the Inner Sunset. While we were sad to leave our loft, we are excited about our new neighborhood and apartment. We always knew that it was going to be hard to leave our large exposed brick loft, and we are still adjusting. Our new apartment is smaller but it does come with parking. Sit back and let us take a tour!
We will start in the kitchen, one of our favorite rooms. As you can see it is brand new. In fact, our entire apartment has been completely remodeled which is nice. We have tons of storage space.
Our kitchen is so big that we bought a kitchen cart for our microwave and a fancy trash can.
Here is the living room. We have two bookshelves that surround our t.v. As you can see the bookshelves still need to be organized.
The kitchen is attached to the living room.
Here is a photo of the living room and our new couches! We love them and are excited that we don't have to borrow friend's spare furniture. They are very comfortable. We also bought a new rug at CB2! We also picked up a dining room table from there as well.
We now move into the bathroom. We have a skylight! This skylight helps cut our energy costs since we don't have to turn on the lights during the daytime.
The bathroom is nice but a bit lacking on storage.
The best part of the bathroom is our curved shower curtain rod which makes for a very roomy shower. You can really stretch out and lather your hair. It is nice.
Next we enter our bedroom. The room is a tad on the small side (from what we're use to) but roomy enough for all of our furniture.
We have our computer in the bedroom which is nice if we want to work away from the main room. We found the perfect desk for the the spot between our two closets. Yes we have his and hers closets which is so nice. My closet can be as messy as I want and Betsy can say nothing about it!
I love the new apartment. I really love coming home and having a parking spot waiting for me when I get home. I never have to worry about getting hit with street cleaning ticket. I also love running in the park. So exciting.

The Wii
For Christmas, I got Betsy a Wii. Turns out, her present was also mine. We love it. I love the boxing game that comes with the system. Betsy loves playing Mario Cart. The Wii is best played in groups of people. That's why we invite our friends over whenever possible. The McMillans always take us up on it.
I think Liz's favorite game is making Mii's. Not only did she make one for herself but she made one for everyone we know. I think she even told us that she lays awake at night and thinks about what feature changes might improve the Mii's she's made. Jeremy rocks the tennis game. Too bad they don't have a surfing game (or maybe they do?).
Betsy took some footage of us in action. Check it out. Also, come over and play. But not at the house in the video. That's only going to be our house for another week. You'll need to come to our new house.
